Anthony is a serial Entrepreneur with a demonstrated proven success in building companies and spotting trends in the online and software industries. He started his first company, AdvanceWare Solutions, in New York which he bootstrapped and sold in 2006, and then joined Brightspark, widely regarded as Canada’s start-up experts. He is well known for his ‘never say never’ approach and his ability as a creative thinker, from product, to business development. His product and market sensibility gained over 15 plus years in the industry is well known and he has been quoted in Techcrunch, USA Today, NBC, BBC and other publications globally. Most recently he Co-Founded iStopOver, a peer-to-peer marketplace for accommodation, funded by Brightspark Ventures, Growthworks and JLA, which was acquired by a German based competitor, 9flats, in the Summer of 2012.
Originally from South Africa, Anthony attended Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York, on a Full Soccer Scholarship. He holds a Bachelor of Media Arts Degree from LIU.
He is currently running StubHub, eBay’s ticketing marketplace, in Canada.
