Salim Teja
Decode Ventures
Salim is Managing Partner at Decode Ventures, a seed stage venture fund focused on early stage investments in Internet-enabled businesses. He is the former COO of b5media, Inc, which operates as an online media network. Salim’s previous roles include Partner at Brightspark Holdings, Inc. In his role at Brightspark, he applied his expertise in identifying new investment opportunities and raising additional funds for portfolio companies. Prior to joining Brightspark, Mr. Teja served as an EIR with Mosaic Venture Partners, responsible for evaluating all in-house technology investment opportunities in the areas of Internet security, communications, and electronic commerce. Prior to Mosaic Venture Partners, Mr. Teja was the Co-Founder and Vice President of Sales and Business Development for MobShop Inc. His experience includes senior roles with MSI Consulting Group and IBM. He has advised senior management at technology vendors including Microsoft, Oracle, Intel, SAP, and Cisco on major corporate strategy initiatives. Mr. Teja is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business, The University of Western Ontario.
